Jennifer Lopez celebrates twins’ college success despite ADHD challenges

American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has expressed pride after her 18-year-old twins, Max Muñiz and Emme Muñiz, gained admission into every college they applied to despite living with ADHD.

Speaking with Extra, the 56-year-old revealed that both teenagers applied to five universities and received scholarships from the schools that offered them admission. However, she did not disclose which institutions they eventually chose or whether they would attend the same college.

“I am so proud that they set goals for themselves,” Lopez said. “They all got into all five colleges that they applied to. Each one received a scholarship to a school. I just felt like they worked so hard.”

The actress praised her children for their determination, noting that she had watched them overcome academic challenges associated with ADHD from an early age.

“They have ADHD, so they need to learn differently. There were struggles and tough times, and I’m just so proud of them because they did what they said they were going to do, and they’re good people,” she added.

Lopez, who is currently promoting her new movie Office Romance, described her twins as caring and compassionate individuals. She recalled often reminding them that character mattered more than academic performance.

“Doesn’t matter if we get good grades so long as we’re good people,” she said, adding that her children still quote the advice back to her.

Earlier this month, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lopez admitted she had become emotional as her children prepared to leave for college.

“Tomorrow one of them graduates [high school],” she said, jokingly asking the host not to dwell on the subject because it made her tear up.

Despite the upcoming transition, Lopez said she supports whatever path her children choose, even if it means attending different schools.

“I want them to be happy, go where they want to go, and do what they want to do,” she said.
