Just in: [PHOTOS] Afrobeat Singer Seun Kuti surrenders to Police
Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti on Monday showed up at the Ikeja police command following a video footage where he was captured slapping a police officer.
The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, had on Saturday ordered Mr. Kuti’s arrest.
The IGP equally ordered a speedy and full investigation.
However, police could not find Seun when they visited his residence on Sunday. But on Monday, the singer surrendered himself to the police for investigation.
He was later transferred to the State Criminal Intelligence Department in Panti, Yaba area of Lagos state.
Seun Kuti was accompanied by Femi Falana, a senior lawyer.
The official outcome of the visitation is yet unknown as of press time.
