KDSG begins construction of neighborhood sports centers
Kaduna State Government, in conjunction with Senator Uba Sani, representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has commenced construction of five Neighborhood Sports Centres.
The State’s Commissioner of Sport Development, Prof. Kabir Mato , who gave this indication in a statement on Friday in Kaduna, said the projects were aimed at discovering talentsNeighborhood and encouraging social integration.
He said the Centres were being sited at Government College, Kujuru, Government College Kaduna, Government Secondary School Narayi, Dalet Girls Secondary School Kawo and Rigasa.
Mato explained that apart from the Centres helping in exploring talents at the grassroots, they would aid in curbing social vices and youth restiveness.
According to him, the facilities would accommodate Basketball Courts, Volleyball Courts, Five ASides Football pitch, Traditional Sports arena, Mini Gymnasium and Children’s Play Ground.
