“I have to rise up to the occasion and address decisively the committee’s recommendations one by one and one, an integral part of which is the need for us to support our students both in the primary and secondary schools.
“There is also need for us to offer our shoulder of assistance for the needy to lean upon and that is what we have commenced with the primary schools pupils and by the grace of God, in few weeks time, we shall move to secondary schools.
We have just started with more than seven schools today and in the next few weeks or months, we would have covered all the schools in this constituency.
“We are doing a lot of things in the realm of education, presently we have a bus that ply Maryland and Ojota helping pupils and students in the area of transportation,” he said.

The lawmaker said the idea was to develop their pupils in the area of ICT because the world had gone digital and at the cradle level they must be getting acquainted with the nitty-gritty of digitalisation.
He adde d that he would be offering scholarships to his constituents at tertiary institutions of their choice by the end of October.
“This scholarship will take care ot their wellbeing, their books, tuition fees while in schools and will go a long way to assuage the pains of parents paying tuition fees and taking care of their wards while in school.
“I am doing this personally because government cannot do it all, it needs the concerted effort of people like us and philanthropists. Nigeria of our dream is achievable if we contribute our quota to the development of this country,” he said.
The humane lawmaker while conversing with some of the pupils also attended to other basic needs like uniforms and even health care to further ensure the self esteem of the affected pupils gets a boost.
Speaking earlier, the Education Secretary, Kosofe Education Local Authority, Mr. Babatunde Soneye, appreciated the lawmaker for the kind gesture of distributing educational materials to pupils in the council.

Okeke said inadequate classrooms were responsible for the overpopulated pupils in a classroom.
She said: “The school doesn’t have enough classrooms and when the environment is not conducive enough it poses a lot of challenge to learning.
