Lagos motorist recounts ordeal in hands of traffic robbers
A lawyer is fortunate to be alive after armed traffic robbers attacked him and threatened to shoot.
The lawyer explained that he was driving with his aunt in the car when they were attacked in traffic at Mile 2, Lagos State.
“I was stuck in traffic around mile 2 area, when some touts approached my car from both windows and began demanding money while threatening to shoot me and my aunt.
“One of them broke the window of the passenger side and grabbed my phone. I don’t know how I grabbed both his hands and snatched them back from him. Snatched his handkerchief in the process.
“Thankfully, we got away with minute cuts from the broken glass. I honestly wish I was with pepper spray or a pistol.”
He said he and his aunt sustained minor injuries in the attack.
