Lagos shuts down school after trailer fatal accident at Ojodu
The Lagos State government on Wednesday ordered immediate shut down of the Babs Fafunwa Millennium school till January 2022 following a fatal trailer accident that killed several students at Grammar School Bus Stop, Ojodu, an outskirt of Ikeja, and exit route from Lagos State.
The Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, after an on- the-spot assessment of the accident scene, disclosed the directive of the state government on immediate closure of the school.
The commissioner said that the school will conduct make-up test for the students on the resumption of the school, acknowledging that the tragic accident occurred while the student were in the middle of their first term examinations.
Over 15 students were said to be killed in the accident that distributed body parts at different locations on the road side. The accident went viral on social media, with gory pictures from the scene.
