LSI’23 set to equip Lagos students on career exploration
Literal Scholars Initiative is a nongovernmental organization, committed to supporting underprivileged pupils in primary schools, by providing them with basic educational needs, vis-a-vis schooling materials, and also unleashing the potential of young students in senior secondary schools.
The initiative has chosen to host another edition of her academic program tagged as Students’ Academic Fair which aims at inculcating young students, including penultimate ones in senior secondary schools, tertiary institutions freshmen, and guardians, on career exploration, and planning, differentiating their dreams from reality, whilst working industriously, but prudently to achieve their desirous career.
It involves educating them via a series of resourced personalities, including speakers, and panelists, to help them gain the knowledge needed to thrive in their desires, while connecting the dots with their university programs, respectively.

According to the director of the initiative Mustopha Musliudeen, the theme of this year (Career Exploration and Planning: Discovering Your Path) is birthed from the remonstrances fazed by young graduates in the labor market, with the World Economic Forum 2020 recognition that in the next five years, about 85 million jobs will be displaced, and robot revolution will create 97 million jobs, which would make most of our product (human) unproductive in the labour market.
“Therefore, the academic fair will open their eyes to what career they should venture into, innovation, entrepreneurship, and significantly creativity, and flexibility, which will help them from unemployment recovery, and make them highly sought after in the labor market.
Mr. Yomi Adebanjo, FCIS will be the Chairman of the event, which is set to hold on July 20th, 2023 and plans are in top gear to make it a success.
