Makinde mourns former Secretary, Koleoso
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has described the death of former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Chief Michael Koleoso, as the end of an era.
Makinde, in a statement on Tuesday by his Special Assistant on Media, Moses Alao, acknowledged that Koleoso played outstanding roles in national developments during his lifetime.
The governor added that Oyo State and the nation had lost a great patriot and a selfless leader.
“We relied on his guidance and wealth of experiences in guiding our great state to greatness, and he did love this state till his dying days.”
Makinde praised Koleoso, a former national chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD), as one of the last men standing from a generation of great men and women who gave their best to serving Oyo State and Nigeria.
He expressed his condolences to the immediate and political families of the deceased, the people of Saki (his home town), and all residents of Oyo State.
He prayed to God to grant everyone the fortitude to bear the loss.
Koleoso died on Monday in Ibadan at the age of 86.
