Man remanded in prison for defiling two minors in Lagos
An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday remanded a 40-year-old man, Francis Amanze at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, having been accused of defiling two minors aged nine years and 10 years.
Presiding Chief Magistrate, B. O. Osunsanmi, refused to take Amanze’s plea and ordered his remand until Oct. 31, to await advice from the office of Director of Public Prosecution.
Amanze, a data analyst, resides at Flat 2, Block 362, Iba Housing Estate, Lagos.
Prosecuting ASP Raji Akeem had earlier told the court that Amanze committed the offence in July at his residence during the summer coaching classes.
Amanze’s wife who runs lecture classes at the residence was away when the accused took advantage of her pupils, he said, adding that the accused tied the victims’ hands before defiling them.
The offence, Akeem stressed, contravened the Criminal Laws of Lagos State.
