Manchester United won’t sign Ighalo permanently – Obafemi Martins
Former Newcastle and Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins says he feels Manchester united won’t sign Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo permanently in the summer.
Martins also said he feels the English club was just in need of a back up striker for Anthony Matial and Rashford who is out injured at the moment ,he also indicated that Manchester united would want to look for a more better number 9 that can challenge with Rashford as Martial future at the club is not certain.
Meanwhile Ighalo is opened to signing permanently for United and he would also take a pay cut in his wages to make the move go through and will also cost Manchester united a whooping £16million in the summer .
Martins who had spells with Newcastle and Birmingham city in England and also won the Carling Cup in a final against London club Arsenal and it was Martins that gave them the winning goal to lift the trophy .
Nigerian Striker Ighalo has scored 4 times in 8 appearances and 1 assist in all competition .
