Medicine/Surgery final year student engaged in food/indomie sales die as ASUU ends 8 months strike
A final year student of Medicine and Surgery at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), Usman Abubakar-Rimi, who was engaged in the selling of cooked food and indomie during the eight months strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has died as the university teachers suspended their strike. He was said to have died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

A close associate of Abubakar-Rimi, Chairman of 21st Century Enterprenuer Hub, Umar Idris, had revealed the death of the final year student on Saturday.
Abubakar-Rimi had opened a mini-restaurant, selling food and indomie in Diplomat area of Sokoto.
Idris said the deceased had been buried in accordance with Islamic rites in his hometown, Rimi, Rimi Local Government Area, Katsina State.
