Meet 150-year old man who served three successive Alaafins
A 150-year man who is better known and addressed as Baba Keji is said to have served three successive Alaafins in Oyo beginning with the reign of Oba Adeniran Alabi Afolabi Adeyemi II between 1945 and 1955.
He is one of the staff in Alaafin’s Palace. He walks very well with a sound memory to still recollect past events within the Oyo Empire.
Baba Keji also served the late Oba Bello Gbadegesin Oladigbolu II between 1956 and 1968.
Surprisingly, he also served Oba (Dr) Lamidi Olayiwola Moroundiya Adeyemi III between 1971 and 2022.
It was gathered that the energetic old man is well known around Oyo Empire and its environs, not only that another source said because of his age and popularity he doesn’t pay for public transport even till date.
