Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, pan-Fulani group in Nigeria, at an Annual General Meeting at Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, protested the arrest and detention of herdsmen across the country simply because they are Fulani.
The National President of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo, at the Annual General Meeting in Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, declared that “cattle herders suffer severe injustice because they are Fulanis.”

According to Abdullahi Bodejo, “Many of our kinsmen are in correctional facilities nationwide for unjust reasons. They are constantly arrested and sent to jail simply because they are pastoring around grazing areas.
“Others were arrested just because they are Fulani people.
“The situation has been very worrisome; that is why we decided to constitute the 55-man legal team to help us fight the cause of our people, especially the innocent ones, to get justice.”
Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has not been attacking the Nigerian government all through the eight years of the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. The group, rather spent more energy mobilising support for the former President.
At that period, there was wide outcry of perceived plan by former President Buhari to purportedly Fulanise Nigeria.

However, two months into the administration of President Bola Tinubu, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has began to realise injustice done to its members and the Fulani nation by the Nigerian government, and, accordingly, setting up structures to fight the injustice.
The group, accordingly, appointed a 55-member legal team to fight for the release of its members from various correctional centers across the country. Leaders of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore are taking up the responsibility to generate the fund for the legal team to carry out its assignment.
Meanwhile, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore leadership has enjoined the Nigerian government to expedite actions to free the detained members of the group.
