Mother, Son arraigned for assault
Taiwo Sholola, 40, and Wahab Sholola, 15, appeared before an Ogba Magistrate Court for alleged theft and assault.
The prosecuting officer, Rafel Donny, said that the mother and son, alongside other culprits at large, beat two brothers, Marcus and Kenneth Dokpesi. They allegedly inflicted wounds on their victims’ bodies.
The incident happened at about 9pm in Agege area of Lagos state. According to court documents, the defendants stole their two pieces of iPhones 6 worth at N500,000.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the offences.
Davies Abegunde, presiding Magistrate granted the defendants bail of N200,000, with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned to February 20 2017.
