Mourinho ready to sell Mkhitaryan to land Ozil
By Boluwatife Ezekiel Olaleye
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, is set to sell Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer, in order to lure Mesut Ozil to the club.
Ozil, whose current deal runs out next year, is a target for Mourinho.
Mourinho worked with him for three years at Real Madrid when he described him as the best No10 in the world.
But the Portuguese knows he has to sell before he can bring in a player, on the sort of mega contract the German player will command as a free agent.
Mourinho has already publicly accused Mkhitaryan of “disappearing” in games and admitted this week that he no longer has space for the Armenia midfielder even on his subs’ bench.
That could be the final straw for a player who joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £30m in the summer of 2016.
Arsenal have already offered Ozil £275,000-a-week to re-sign and have not given up on persuading him to stay.
