MTN, Access Bank, NCC, others shine at National Daily Awards
Telecom giant, MTN Nigeria, Access Bank, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and several other corporate giants and individuals were the cynosure of all eyes as they were honoured by National Daily newspaper at its 2023 Award of Excellence in Lagos.
While MTN Nigeria got the Telecom Company of the Year, Access Bank bagged the prestigious African Global Bank of the Year and the Nigerian Communications Commission was recognized as the Public Sector Agency of the Decade
The event, held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos was chaired by Prince Julius Adelusi Adeluyi OFR mni, Chairman, Juli Plc, while former President Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR, was the Special Guest of Honour.

Other winners include the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba (CFR), Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Aliko Dangote, Ernest Ndukwe, Gov. Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom state and many others.
The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba got the National Daily Man of the Year award, while President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote was honoured with the African Business Personality of the Decade award.
Several other recipients include Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, BabaJide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Charles Soludo of Anambra state, Hon. Sergious Ogun and Prof Umar Danbatta.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo commended National Daily for showcasing the bright sides of the continent’s success stories by giving recognition to deserving individuals.
According to the publishers and Editor-In-chief of National Daily newspaper and National Standard magazine, Sylvester Ebhodaghe, said the National Daily Awards celebrates outstanding eminent public officials and citizens, who have contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria.
