NDLEA reacts to the recruitment of underage boy
The NDLEA, has reacted to accusations in some quarters that it has recruited an underage boy into its employ.
This comes after a picture of a new recruit of the agency who looked underage went viral on social media.
The picture, which was taken during the passing out parade of 2,500 NDLEA officers on October 19, elicits a lot of backla§hes with many Nigerians gunning for the agency.

However, reacting to the backla§h, the agency in a statement on October 21, said: “The newly trained personnel of the Agency whose photo appears above (arrowed) is not underage as being insinuated since this picture taken during the Passing out Parade of 2,500 Narcotic Agents and Narcotic Assistants on 19th October 2023 got to the social media space
The personnel may have small body frame but is indeed qualified in terms of academic and age qualifications required for his cadre, Narcotic Assistant II, which include secondary school certificate and being 18 years of age
