Neymar has issued his response after Jose Mourinho was sacked as Manchester United boss.

The Brazilian has given his thoughts ahead of PSG’s clash with the Red Devils in the last 16 of the Champions League.

United will take on the French champions over two legs in February.

It came after PSG topped their Champions League group, ahead of Liverpool and Napoli, and United finished runners-up to Juventus.

The former Barcelona star has now given his opinion on Mourinho’s sacking – and why it may not matter.

“I was happy [with the draw]; they will be two great matches between two great sides,” Neymar told PSG’s official website .

“We know the quality that Manchester United have and we know that their players have a winning mentality.

“The coach has changed and it will be a different playing style – they’re in the process of changing things up – but we know the quality they have.

“I love the big matches and it’s always a pleasure to play in them.

“I’m very happy to be taking on Manchester United.”

It appears that chapter is already closed for Mourinho – perhaps thanks to his lofty pay-off – as he focuses on the future, with talk of a return to Real Madrid rumbling on.
