Nigeria suffers defeat in semifinal match with Colombia on penalties in U-17b Female World Cup in India
The Flamingos of Nigeria on Wednesday lost the semi final game of the 2022 FIFA U-17 Female World Cup in India to Colombia on penalties. The Nigerian junior team lost 5-6 penalties to Colombia after the match ended 0-0 on regulation time.
The defeat qualified Colombia for the final on Sunday.
Colombia scored all their penalty kicks but Nigeria’s Comfort Folorunsho missed last kick.
The Flamingos of Nigeria will now wait for the outcome of the other semifinal match between Spain and Germany to know who to play in the third-place match on Sunday.
