Nine guests returning from wedding die in car crash
Tragedy struck as nine guests died on their way home after a wedding ceremony in a motor accident near the tollgate entrance to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria.
The nine guests, including other passengers, were said to be traveling back to Sagbama Local Government Council Area after the wedding ceremony in Yenagoa.
The Bayelsa State Police Command disclosed that the accident was a collision between a Toyota Hiace Bus and a Toyota Forerunner. Other passengers were said to be critically injured.
The police have taken the crashed vehicles to the Igbogene Division for further inspection.
The remains of the dead passengers have been deposited at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri. The injured were also taken to the same hospital for treatment.
