Nnewi man shoots brother dead because of electricity bill, disconnection
Peter Orji got angry over electricity bill and disconnection, stormed into his apartment, brought out his gun, and shot dead his elder brother Godwin at Uruagu, Nnewi North LGA, Anambra.
He however bolted—some said to a police station for cover— as neighbours tried to swoop on him—to lynch him.
According to neighbours, the bill in question was N1500 allotted to Peter, which he didn’t pay until his brother disconnected his flat in their family house on Tuesday.
The state police command’s spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, however, said the suspect was arrested contrary to claims that he willingly surrendered himself to the police.
The wife of the suspect was first arrested at the crime scene, before the husband was brought in, too.
