A front line human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has sent a strong message that seemingly conveys “no sympathy for Ali Bongo“, the ousted President of Gabon in a military coup on Wednesday.

Aisha Yesufu lamented that Gabon with less than 3 million population and an oil rich country in the Central Africa, has people living in abject poverty.

No sympathy for Ali Bongo - Aisha Yesufu

Ousted President Ali Bongo of Gabon cries out for help, begs friends to make noise

She stated that ousted President Ali Bongo and his father, late President Omar Bongo, ruled Gabon for 5 decades yet they could not take the country as theirs and give the people the best as father and son did in Dubai.
Omar Bongo was President of Gabon from 1967 to 2009 when he died in office.

Ali Bongo succeeded the father in 2009, and 14 years in office he still want to continue to perpetuate himself in office for more years. But the military stopped him.

Meanwhile, Aisha Yesufu in a statement wrote:

“Gabon has less than 3m people. It is oil rich yet the people lived in abject poverty.
“Father and son have ruled for over 5 decades yet they could not take the country as theirs and give the people the best just like Dubai father and son did.”

Meanwhile, Ali Bongo is crying out for help from his detention location, calling on his friends across the world to make noise about his overthrow and detention by the military.

The military regime in Gabon also arrested the son of Ali Bongo and other state  officials on Wednesday. The military further nullified the result of the August 26 election which proclaimed ousted President Bongo winner.

Many foreign interests have condemned the military overthrow of Ali Bongo but failed to condemn bad leadership and flawed elections in the country, including life president ambition of the ousted leader, just like his father who remained in to death.
