‘Not a good result,’ Mbappe admits disappointing La Liga debut
Kylian Mbappe has acknowledged that his La Liga debut for Real Madrid was less than ideal, labeling the 1-1 draw against Mallorca as “not a good result.”
The French star, who had a strong start to his Real Madrid career with a goal in the UEFA Super Cup victory over Atalanta, struggled to hit his stride in the league opener on Sunday.
Despite high expectations and speculation that he might score 50 goals this season, Mbappe couldn’t make a significant impact against Mallorca.
While Rodrygo did score for Real Madrid, Mbappe and Vinicius Junior often found themselves congested on the left flank.

Mbappe, still adjusting to Carlo Ancelotti’s tactical system, recognized the difficulties of integrating into the team’s high-profile attack.
In an Instagram story following the match, he conveyed his resolve to move forward: “Not a good result.
Heads up and already focused on the next one. Hala Madrid.”
Real Madrid will be hoping that their attacking trio of Mbappe, Vinicius, and Rodrygo can find their rhythm in their next La Liga match against Real Valladolid.
