Nottingham Forest Secure £22m Deal for Colombia Defender
Nottingham Forest have completed the £22m signing of Colombia international Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace on a three-year deal.
The 30-year-old right-back reunites with manager Oliver Glasner at the City Ground after previously working with him at Palace, where they won the FA Cup and Europa Conference League together.

Munoz spent the past two and a half years at Selhurst Park, making 109 appearances and scoring 11 goals in all competitions. He also helped Palace win the Community Shield in 2025.
“I’m really excited because I can see so much talent,” Munoz said. “Forest is a team with great players, great qualities and great skills on the pitch. I can’t wait to get out there so I can help my new team-mates.”
The Colombia international added that Forest’s ambitions were a major reason behind his decision to join the club.
“It is a club that’s fought hard in recent years and competed hard. It got to the semi-finals of the Europa League and I think it has even greater objectives for the future,” he said.
Munoz, who has 51 international caps, could make his Forest debut against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
His arrival follows Forest’s club-record £50m signing of Liam Delap as the club continue to strengthen their squad.
Forest chief football officer George Syrianos praised Munoz’s experience and mentality.
“Daniel has performed strongly in the Premier League and in European competition, and we believe he has the mentality and ambition to make a significant contribution to the club,” Syrianos said.
Forest began the Premier League season with defeats by Leeds United but earned their first point on Saturday after drawing 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield.
Munoz’s signing gives Glasner another experienced option as Forest look to improve their results and push towards their ambitions for the new campaign.
