Obaseki mourns passing of Akwa Ibom First Lady, praises her humanitarian legacy
Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has expressed deep condolences to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, following the passing of his wife and First Lady, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.
In a heartfelt statement, Obaseki praised the late First Lady as a compassionate and dedicated leader who contributed significantly to the development of Akwa Ibom State.
Governor Obaseki highlighted Mrs. Eno’s impactful work through the “Golden Initiative for All,” a humanitarian program aimed at uplifting vulnerable communities and alleviating poverty.

“She was a graceful and loving person, well-known for her compassion. She championed causes that improved the socio-economic wellbeing of Akwa Ibom’s people,” he said.
Obaseki also recognized her efforts in supporting her husband’s leadership and contributing to the vision of a fair and just society. He extended his sympathies to Governor Eno, the people of Akwa Ibom, and all those affected by the loss, offering prayers for strength and comfort in this difficult time.
