Onyeagucha demands Uzodinma’s resignation, condemns killing of seven Niger Republic citizens in Imo
The Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Imo East District, Hon. Uche Onyeagucha has condemned in totality the recent murder of seven refuse scavengers from Niger Republic in Orogwe , Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State. He berated Governor Hope Uzodinma over leadership failure, calling for his resignation.
Onyeagucha in a statement asserted: “The gruesome killing is another confirmation of the rising wave of insecurity and cold-blooded murder of innocent souls in Owerri West, Imo State.” He said the killing is disheartening, telling Governor Uzodimma to take urgent steps to restore peace and normalcy in the state, or resign since he has shown himself incapable of protecting the lives and property of Imolites and foreigners resident in the state.
“This is the irreducible minimum responsibility of any responsible government. The continued shedding of innocent blood in the State under the present administration is condemnable and unacceptable,” Onyeagucha said.
