OPay postpones planned NYSE IPO, assures customers of uninterrupted services
OPay Limited has announced the postponement of its planned initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), citing an ongoing regulatory inquiry.
The fintech company disclosed this in a statement to its customers, business partners and the general public, explaining that the decision followed careful consideration of the circumstances surrounding the inquiry.
According to the company, the decision to suspend the planned listing was taken in the best interests of the business and its stakeholders while the regulatory process continues.
OPay, however, emphasised that the development has no impact on its business operations, customer services or activities in Nigeria and other markets where it operates.

The company reassured customers that its operations remain fully functional, with all services continuing without interruption.
It stated that customers can continue to send and receive money, make payments, save funds and access other financial services through its platforms as usual.
The clarification is expected to reassure customers, merchants, agents and other stakeholders amid concerns that the postponement of the planned stock market listing could affect the company’s financial services operations.
OPay further expressed appreciation to its customers, merchants, agents, business partners, employees and other stakeholders for their continued confidence, loyalty and support.
The company reiterated its commitment to leveraging technology to promote financial inclusion and expand access to convenient, reliable and accessible financial services.
