Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was the star of the show as Galatasaray and Kasimpasa battled to a dramatic 3-3 draw in an electrifying Istanbul derby on Sunday.

Osimhen, who has been in fine form this season, found the back of the net twice, scoring Galatasaray’s first and third goals in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The 26-year-old Nigerian international opened the scoring for the Yellow and Reds from the penalty spot in the 12th minute, giving his side an early lead in what proved to be an intense contest.

Kasimpasa responded strongly, leveling the score before the first half ended, and later took the lead in the second half. However, Osimhen once again stepped up to the occasion, netting his second goal 19 minutes from time to restore parity for Galatasaray.

Despite sharing the spoils in the derby, Galatasaray remain at the summit of the Super Lig table with 65 points from 25 games. The club is locked in a fierce title race and will be hoping to extend their lead in the coming weeks.

With Osimhen leading their attacking charge, Galatasaray fans will be confident that their team can maintain their title push and make a deep run in Europe.
