Over 200 athletes set for Ogwuashi-Uku Marathon
Over 200 athletes of diverse age groups, essentially, the young population, are preparing assiduously for the 2021 Seven kilometres Health Marathon organised by a cultural group, Aweleka, in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha-South Local Government Area, Delta State.
The Seven kilometres Health Marathon has been an architecture for unity and peaceful coexistence in the town, as well as improvement of human health of different age, social status of the people. It commences from Isah Road and ends at Ogwashi-Uku Polytechnic Preparatory School, Azagba Road, towards the Onitsha-Benin expressway.
Winner of the last Marathon identified as the defending champion, Ebule Emmanuel, had expressed optimism of another victory, commending the Organizers of the event.
The marathon promotes grassroots sports and the spirit of oneness in the town.
