PDP alleges Akpabio plans to burn INEC Office
- Demands arrest of the former governor
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Akwa Ibom State has raised alarm that the defeated Senator Godswill Akpabio is allegedly planning to set the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ablaze. The State PDP, therefore, called on the Inspector General of Police to arrest him immediately.
The State Publicity Secretary of the party, Ini Emem-Obong, who made the allegation at a press conference in Uyo, also said Akpabio has violated the electoral act by declaring himself the winner of the senatorial contest, contrary to INEC results.
