Pep Guardiola approves Ilkay Gundogan’s return to Manchester City
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has reportedly given the green light for Ilkay Gundogan to return to the club this summer.
Gundogan, who left City as a free agent last summer, is currently with Barcelona but is available for a move, with the LaLiga club not expected to block his departure.
It is understood that initial talks between Gundogan’s representatives and City have already taken place.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Guardiola is eager to bring the German midfielder back, with discussions between the two parties beginning recently.
Romano wrote on X: “Understand Pep Guardiola has already approved Ilkay Gündogan’s return to Manchester City. Pep wants Gündo back as talks are now taking place with his camp, first contact made yesterday. Decision up to Gündogan as he has proposals also from Saudi/Qatar; Man City, on it.”
