Police condemns killing of over 100 cows by militia
The Nigeria Police have condemned the killing of over 100 cows by Irigwe militia at Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Torpev Martins, confirming the violent act, described the incident as barbaric act.

The Irigwe militia members were said to have gone on rampage in the state protesting the perennial attacks and killing of people, including the destruction of property and farmlands by herdsmen in the state.
The PPRO, however, noted that the police are investigating the circumstances leading to the cruel killing of the cows. He acknowledged that the Police were yet to issue any official statement on the attack said to have lasted over nine hours without intervention.
