Police restore Kogi Deputy Governor’s security details
The Nigeria Police have restored the security details of the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Simon Achuba. The security aides were restored after the Saturday elections were postponed by the INEC.
The Deputy Governor had at the weekend raised alarm that his life was in danger, alleging threats to his life since the withdrawal of his security details by the Inspector General of Police.
Deputy Governor Simon told journalists at his residence that his security aides were withdrawn on February 15, 2019, hours before the rescheduled presidential and National Assembly elections.
