Popular Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha in police net for defiling minor
Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James aka Baba Ijesha, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police for defiling a 14-year-old minor for about seven years.
He was arrested after oe Princess Adekola Adekanye reported a matter of defilement at the Sabo Police Station two days ago.
According to Lagos Police spokesman CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi , the case was transferred to the gender unit of the state CID, Panti, Yaba for proper investigation.
The statement also alleged based on preliminary findings, the 48-year-old actor started assaulting the victim sexually when she was seven years old.
His has not denied the allegation which was even made firmer with a CCTV footage of his criminal act.
The Police also said Baba Ijesha confessed to the crime.
Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for proper investigation as he promised to do justice in the matter.
