Presidency 2023: Akpabio complies with Buhari’s order, resigns as he submitted nomination forms
The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, was among the first set of ministers to comply with the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday to resign and concentrate of the race for the APC presidential ticket, and others election tickets.
The Niger Delta Minister submitted his resignation letter to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha. Thereafter, the APC leaders waited for Akpabio at the International conference Centre (ICC), Abuja, to submit his expression of interest and nomination forms for the presidential.
He was the third Ministers in the Federal Executive Council to resign after the directive of the President.
