Presidency 2023: Wike storms Lagos, lobbies PDP delegates
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, 2023 presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stormed Lagos on Monday to lobby party delegates for support at the national convention. Wike at a meeting with the PDP national delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State promised to eliminate injustice and poverty in Nigeria.
Governor Wike decried the unending insecurity and poverty in the country.
The Rivers governor stated that he would not accept any position below the president. He, however, reiterated his resolve to support anyone who wins the PDP presidential ticket to ensure that the party returns to power in 2023, if he doesn’t win the ticket at the primaries.
The PDP will hold its national convention on May 28 and 29, 2022 to nominate the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
