Primary School pupils feared dead, others trapped in a collapsed three-storey building in Lagos
Events turned out to be a black Wednesday in Lagos as a three-storey building collapsed leading to the death of primary school pupils and other being trapped in the rubbles of the collapsed in Lagos Island. The collapsed building was identified to be located at Itafaji area of Lagos Island where a primary school was said to be accommodated on the top floor of the house.
Several pupils of the primary school are being trapped in the collapsed building while others are feared dead. However, emergency and rescue operations are currently going on at the scene of the incident.
The collapsed building is also identified to be a residential building with several apartments occupied by tenants.
The number of deaths and extent of damages were yet to be confirmed at the time of this report; but there will be follow up on the update.
