Airlines were mostly affected by the coronavirus pandemic which at different times imposed half-filled and half-empty planes, then concealed flights, during the most difficult restrictions and covid protocols, and imposition of Covid-19 tests and masking mandate.
However, millions of travelers across the world in a ranking survey by Skytrax’s global airline which ended on Tuesday selected Qatar Airways as the Best Airline in the world.
Qatar Airways topped Skytrax’s global airline rankings in 2019.
It was indicated that over 13 world travelers participated in the 2021 survey, selecting the top 10 from 356 airlines. The assessment parameters of service delivery were identified to include booking and check-in processes, friendliness of airline staff, seat comfort and the quality of in-flight meals and entertainment.
Skytrax conducted the survey between September 2019 and July 2021.
The survey indicated that Delta Air Lines emerged the best North American airline, while Japan Airlines ranked as the world’s best economy class. Malaysia’s AirAsia was the world’s best low-cost airline.
