Russia has claimed its strike early Sunday on a Ukrainian military base targeted and took out no fewer than 180 foreign mercenaries, and destroyed a large cache f weapons the US and its NATO allies supplied in Yavoriv, some miles to Poland.
In a briefing, Defence Ministry’s spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Russia would continue its attack on those foreign citizens who joined Kyiv’s army to fight Russia.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier claimed no fewer than 16000 soldiers of fortune arrived the country after he called on the citizens of the world to join in pushing back Russia’s invasion.
But Konashenko’s figure was different from Ukrainina regionl Gov Makysm Kozytskyy’s.
