Sabon Gari youths fight Hisbah over alcohol confiscation in Kano
Eyewitness said that the young man was angry with road barrier, especially near Ballat Hughes, and created the flames, in addition to a car which belong to Hisbah guards was also destroyed.
It gathered that the problems after the guards burn out after the guards crashed into the intentional area to arrest defaulters of anti-alcohol laws, with additional intentions to obtain the cartons of beer from the defaulters, but they resisted.
The conversation with the Daily Sun yesterday, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said they received a report on the confrontation and sent their men to the crime area.
He added that, they arrested 26 people who are morally bad and they transferred the case to their headquarters for proper investigation.
He also said that they, invited some witnesses from the crime scene, and at the end of the investigation, those who were found guilty, will be charged in court.
In the meantime, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has called on the people to remain calm and they should not engage in any violent act that will disturb their peace.
Muhammad Garba, the state commissioner for information said that the Governor warned the people not to involve in any chaotic acts.
The Governor continued to appeal to the people of the state to follow the law and support the security agencies in maintaining predominant peace in the state.
