Second female APC guber aspirant beats Ribadu, ex-gov, 4 others
Adamawa Senator Aisha Dahiru Ahmed Binani has won the APC guber primary with power, massacring a number of heavyweights in the election.
According to the election committee chairman, Malam Gambo, Binani scored 430 votes while Nuhu Ribadu, EFCC ex-chairman ad perennial aspirant, followed with 288 votes.
The immediate past governor, Muhammadu Jibrilla Bindow, came third with 103 votes, Abdurrazaq Namda polled 94 votes while Wafari Theman got 39 votes.
Other also-rans are Umar Mustapha Madawaki and Wafarniyi Theman—fifth and sixth position in the contest.
Binani has been rising politically in the state, starting form her terms in the NASS as a rep, then moving on to the Senate.
