Second road accident kills 3 in explosion along Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday
Another accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has bumped up the casualty figures of road traffic crashes on Wednesday along that corridor.
No fewer than three people got burned to death as a commercial vehicle veered off the road to hit another vehicle, leading to explosion.
This happened hours after a tanker went up in flames, killing five people.
The second accident occurred around Sand Crete in Ogunmakin axis of the highway in Ogun State.
Ogun FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpe, said a total of 17 persons were involved, comprising males and females. 14 persons were injured, including 7 male adults and 7 female adults.
“Three deaths were recorded from the crash. One of them was burnt beyond recognition,” she said.
