Security agencies raid Ikorodu communities made arrest

The Nigeria Police Force in joint operations with the commander of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, State Services, DSS, Lagos Task Force, and Local Vigilante groups, raided the blackspot Igbobo/Bayeku, Ibeshe,Ijede and Imota
The operation was led by the deputy commissioner of police in-charge of operations, DC Edgal Imohinmi, arrest over hundred suspected cult groups during the raids.
There was a brief meeting with the security agencies and local vigilante groups at Ipakodo division before the raiding kick off from Ibeshe were majority of the suspects were arrested.
A Oodua People’s Congress OPC member, Mr Abiodun Akerejola aka Ojolebua who spoke to our reporter said that the raiding is a welcome development.
Recently there was a closed door emergency stakeholders meeting with the officials of Lagos state command, by the leaders of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) led by its National Leader, Otunba Gani Adams, and other vigilante groups over the security challenges inIkorodu axis.
Mr Balogun Moses,a resident in one of the communities, said that if such raiding has been happening on monthly basis in the community, crime rate will reduce .
“We commend the effort of all the security agencies and local vigilante ,everyone can have peace and sleep with two eye closed for the past eight Ikorodu is on the news on daily basis.”
