Security analyst reacts to amnesty granted notorious bandits, Turji Bello
A global security analyst and journalist, Bulama Bukarti has condemned the Zamfara State government for granting amnesty to Turji Bello, a bandit kingpin terrorising the state.
Recall that the Zamfara State deputy governor, Senator Hassan Nasiha, said a few days ago that Bello has decided to embrace peace in the amnesty program set up by the state government.
He added that the repented terrorist is also helping the government track down unrepentant bandits terrorising the state.

In reaction to the development, Bulama Bukarti said Turji Bello hasn’t paid for the atrocities. He added that his last mass murder was setting 23 travellers, including a pregnant woman, ablaze in Sokoto State a few months ago.
Bulama Bukarti also disclosed that the bandit kingpin has violated similar peace deals in the past and should not be trusted by the government.
The journalist condemned the Zamfara State government for appointing Turji Bello as the executor of unrepentant bandits in the state.
Bulama Bukarti disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle on Monday, August 22, 2022.
