The Senate in a resolution at plenary on Wednesday. urged the Federal Government to activate diplomatic negotiation with the Finnish Government for the extradition of a Biafran agitator, Simon Ekpa, for prosecution in Nigeria over instigation of the Monday sit-at-home order in the southeast.

Simon Epka,
Biafra agitator
The Senate, condemning the Monday sit-at-home order in South East Nigeria, further resolved to invite the Minister of Foreign Affairs (when appointed) and relevant stakeholders to carry out thorough investigation as well as bring other sponsors of the sit-at-home order to book.
The sit-at-home enforcement has created a seeming carbon government in the southeast, co-existing with the components of the Nigerian government in the five states. The enforcement has recorded unrestrained compliance.
