Sunshine Stars holds workshop for players, officials
Sunshine Stars continue preparations for the new Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) with an off-the-field workshop on officiating anchored by retired FIFA badged referee, Henry Ogunyamodi in Portharcourt, Tuesday.
With the team off match duties for the day in the Governor Wike Garden City Preseason tournament, the players and officials converged at a conference room in their hotel base after recuperating from a morning workout for the lecture and interactive session.
FIFA, as Ogunyamodi is fondly called took time to sensitise and educate the players and officials of the Akure Landlords on the latest trends and rules change in officiating as eshrined in the law book of the game.
Sunshine Stars face fellow NPFL campaigners, Abia Warriors in a crucial Group A tie of the ongoing Garden City Preseason tournament, tagged Unity Cup at the Sharks Stadium on Wednesday by 5p.m.
