Tinubu holds first meeting with Service Chiefs at State House
President Bola Tinubu on Thursday held first meeting with the service chiefs of the Nigerian security and intelligence agencies at the State House, Abuja.
Present at the meeting were the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba; the Director-General of the Department of State Service(DSS), Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
Details of the meeting were unfolded at the time of this report, but may nit be unconnected with deliberations on a new trend of security architecture in the country.
President Tinubu is yet to make appropriate appointments in organising the government under his leadership for the next four years, as he is still settling down after the general elections and his inauguration on Monday, May 29.
