Trade fair reopened few hours after being shut down
Few hours after the Lagos International Trade Fair was shut, traders have finally been allowed entry to go about their normal businesses.
The Trade Fair, according to some traders who were seen protesting at the premises, was shut with no reason given to them.
Some of them carried placards and chanted songs like, “we no go gree o.”
Traders who were unaware of the development arrived their shops at the Trade Fair in the early morning of Monday, 18th of March, 2019 for their normal businesses only to discover to their surprise that all the gates leading to the Fair had been shut.
Meanwhile, while some of the traders said the premises had just been opened while no explanation was given as to the reason for the initial closure, others claimed the premises was shut because a particular major political party was holding its rally in the premises.
