Troops unleash devastating operations on bandits, destroy camps in Zamfara
Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji have unleashed unusual counter action on bandits, destroying camps of the terrorists in Totsari and Kenkashi forest, in Mada District of Tsafe Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
The troops of Operation Hadarin Daji were said to have on routine clearing operations in Getawa, Ungwan Kade, and Maigalma villages, confronted armed bandits who had in their custody rustled cattle.
It was narrated that while the bandits engaged the troops to pave way for escape, the bandits abandoned the rustled cattle in their custody after the troops overwhelmed them and fled into the forest. The troops were said to have chased the escape as they flee.
One of the bandits was said to be killed in the confrontation.
The troops in sustained clearance operations in the territory, were said to have encroached on another bandit camp at Kenkashi and Totsari village. Again, exchange of gunfire ensued but the troops overwhelmed the bandits, forcing the terrorists to flee into the forest.
The troops were said to have continued the search and clearance operations in Zamfara State to get rid of the bandits.
