UNIBEN boils, students revolt, block Ugbowo-Lagos expressway
Students of the University of Benin have gone on rampage, protesting the increase of school fees by the school authorities. The students taking their protest out of the campus, blocked the ever-busy Ugbowo-Lagos Road, obstructing traffic and creating panic in the vicinity.
Several other students kept themselves busyholding carnival round the campus, displaying placards that express their anger and demands.
The students were also protesting 20% increase of school fees being forced on them as sanction or penalty for late payment of the fees in the university.
